Bill,
Tina, Curtis, and Kayle moved from Colorado to Gordonville in 1997. Bill and
Tina started training for the public full-time in 1990, and breeding Quarter
Horses in 1991.
Much of their beginning was with horses they purchased
for themselves, including JBL Wish Me Luck, who later became a World Champion
Western Riding Horse with Superiors both in Open and Amateur
Pleasure.
In
1992, Bill and Tina made the purchase of Vested Pine, a yearling stud colt they
spotted at Dan and Carol
McWhirters, for Loel and Merla Sirovy. The following spring, under their
tutelage, Vested Pine began his show career.
In 1994, Bill and Tina
bought Vested Pine from Loel and Merla at that point. Vested Pine
proved to be a perfect combination of power, refinement, disposition and
graceful movement. He is a sire with great conformation and superior movement,
and one who has proven himself a champion in all of the world's most
prestigious shows. They currently stand his own son: Vested Assets, at Cooper Quarter Horses.
Along with JBL Wish Me Luck and
Vested Pine, Bill and Tina bought and trained horses like Lotto Flash, Ultra
Asset and Zipped Tight.
Their breeding program has produced horses like
Vested Faith, Vested Assets, A Classy Pine, Lopin So Pine, A Star In The Pines, and many
more.
Along with their strong Western Pleasure program, they
specialize also in Western Riding and other events as well as AQHA
judging.
The Kaven's are currently accepting outside horses for
training. They also sell weanlings,
yearlings, 2 Year Olds and finished horses. They welcome you to visit the
ranch. Just email a note here or walk in
anytime.
